ARNDT Gallery History
 

In 1994 Matthias Arndt established one of the first contempoary art galleries with an international profile in former East-Berlin - Arndt & Partner - which became one of the key players in Germany´s art capital. In the following two decades, Arndt represented and showed some of the leading international contemporary artists in his galleries in Berlin, Zurich, New York and Singapore.  The gallery program was accompanied and complimented by curated exhibitions around the globe. Arndt is a founding member of the Berlin Gallery Weekend and was awared Kinght of the French Order „Des Arts Et Des Lettres“ in 2002

Since 2011 Arndt expanded his activities and expertise in Asia-Pacific, with ARNDT Fine Art playing a leading role in presentating Indonesian- and Filipino Contemporary Art towards the West. Arndt is also a member of the „Asia Pacific Acquisition Committee“ of the TATE.

In 2013, Arndt founded BERLIN MASTERS, a charitable foundation supporting young Berlin based artists.

Since 2016 Arndt continues his operations with ARNDT ART AGENCY (A3) which provides artist management and advisory services as well as staging exhibitions in the commercial and public sector in art institutions worldwide.
